Try a short trip to Beroun, and a hike through the forest around Karlštejn Castle.

Take a relaxing trip into the countryside outside of Prague, and experience the peaceful unpretentious pace of life outside the capital city. Departing by train at 10am, we arrive in the historic town of Beroun, well known for an international ceramics festival. We begin by visiting one of the most unusual family breweries in the Czech Lands. It is quirky simply because this is a mixed-use facility. It seconds as a scrap yard for old military equipment.



After exploring the junk yard, armed with a complimentary taste of this exceptionally good beer, we can stop for a hearty lunch or grab a sandwich to take along with us as we hike (no waiting around).



With appetites satisfied, and equipped with some refreshment, we will explore the various options (protected natural areas, Karlstejn Castle, climbing wall, etc.) along the return journey. Transportation and guide are included in the cost, along with one beer upon arrival to the brewery.

 

Additional hours = $25/hour

Minimum 4 participants

At the 8 hour rate it is possible to linger in the town, and walk through the forest from Srbsko to Karlštejn at a leisurely pace. If the consensus of participants wishes to tour Karlštejn Castle or brewery, or play on the rocks, the cost for entry is optional, and this will prolong the tour and add to the cost. Food, beverage and entry fees are not included.
